Monday and handmade type.

Really? Srsly?

hiiiiiiiii's!
My Monday was anything but manic, but the antics that took place were a bit cray-cray, thanks to hanging out with my bff, Ethel. We spent the day wandering around Coney Island, taking note of handmade signs and eating cheese fries. Then I headed into the city to meet up with Jessica and Einav to work on a couple of projects until the wee hours. Can't wait to show the results...so much work to be done before that tho!
Also, Marco sent me this and I about died. So effing good.

First, I want to say thank you to all of the emails, phone calls, texts and in-person love I've gotten from friends, family, colleagues, old coworkers and the like. I appreciate your kind words understand and encouraging sentiments more than I could ever possibly begin to express. I truly am fortunate that I have so many people that care, so thank you. All of you.

That said, operation "get me a new gig" is in full gear. Today was spent making lists, sending emails, calling contacts, texting my favorite partner asking her how life is like back at my former home and time spent looking at my portfolio and wondering "are you good enough to be in here". But, on the bright side at least I got to go running this morning without the pressure of being into work at a certain time.

Tomorrow, I'm hoping to have my camera in hand to capture my new work environment, other characters I'll be meeting and working with that are also victims of Recession 2k9, and the life of an unemployed copywriter. Stay tuned, it should be exciting.

I've been spying on people when they aren't looking and taking pictures of them working "in action". love it.

HAPPY INAUGURATION DAY AMERICA!

Happy Friday! The past few days have been quiet, quiet, quiet up in these parts due to the incessant clacking at my keyboard and impending deadlines. My agency is pitching new business and with that comes great opportunity, a chance to work on something new (!) and late nights trying to stitch together the perfect words…essentially its my type of geeky fun.

That said, its Friday (dance a little jig in your swivel chair) and with that comes a haiku I wrote on the train last night.

Keyboard happy hands
Tap to the rad beats at night
Making words for you

Pictures are back on Monday, for realsies.
